I am happy that you have embarked on a pursuit of the exciting field of diagnostic radiology and thank you for your interest in our program. I am sure our website will answer many of your questions but if you have others, please feel free to contact us.

Our program is ACGME accredited. Ours is a unique blend of a community oriented program with a strong university affiliation. Our mission is to offer an outstanding clinical experience that is diverse and rich and to create an overall environment that will enrich the resident’s experience and training in diagnostic radiology.

The structured training in our program incorporates daily afternoon lectures that are didactic and case-based with Tuesdays fully dedicated for learning with no clinical duties. Additional lectures and learning opportunities exist throughout the Flint area hospitals.  With a high faculty to resident ratio, we pride on one-on-one daily case reviews that build confidence through hands-on training. The learning atmosphere is friendly and low-pressure for a hard day’s work.

Our residents work in state-of-the-art fully digital departments and work with outstanding subspecialty trained radiologists. Residents are given graduated responsibility and autonomy throughout their training. Additionally, we offer great outside rotations that include the American Institute for Radiologic Pathology (AIRP) course and three months of pediatric radiology at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

A measure of the strength of our program is our graduates’ success in board certification exams, obtaining desired fellowship positions ,and successful careers in private practices.

Thank you for your interest and we are looking forward to hearing from you.

Warmest regards,
